If you’re a serious golf coach, you already own a launch monitor. You trust the ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, and club data it delivers. But you’re looking for more: ways to grow
your business, sharpen your coaching skills, and become more effective at delivering better outcomes for your players, faster.
As coaches, we must be elite communicators. Expedited player development depends on getting golfers to buy into the changes we propose. When the information we provide is simple, visual, and grounded in measurable data, that buy-in happens quicker. Future actions can then be compared and evaluated against prior data so the entire process of improvement becomes evidence-based and motivating for both coach and player.
That’s where Swing Catalyst comes in.
Swing Catalyst software and hardware link your Foresight Sports launch monitor’s ball and club delivery data to high-speed video, pressure and force data from the Balance Plate (or Force/Motion
Plates), and the recently added markerless Motion Capture. Together they give you the ability to show a player, exactly what to change, how to change the feeling they need, and how that change produces the outcome they desire.
Instead of looking at numbers alone and trying to reverse-engineer the cause, you and your players can see the full story of every swing from start to finish and understand precisely how movement, pressure, and force influenced the shot.
What Is Swing Catalyst?

Swing Catalyst is one of the most advanced swing analysis systems available. It integrates directly with Foresight Sports launch monitors to automatically record every swing to be analyzed alongside your ball and club data, allowing you to see exactly what you are doing through every part of your swing.
Using high-speed cameras recording up to 500 frames per second, the software captures your swing from multiple angles and synchronizes the footage with your shot data. Add the optional Balance or Force/Motion Plates, and you’ll also see how pressure moves through your feet during the swing, giving even greater insight into how you generate speed, consistency, and power. The markerless Motion Capture layer then overlays joint positions, center of mass, and movement paths so both coach and player can visualize the work that needs to be done.
The result is a training environment where video, movement, and launch monitor data all work together to provide a complete picture of exactly what you are doing in every aspect of your golf shot.
See Every Swing From Every Angle
One of Swing Catalyst’s biggest advantages is how seamlessly it fits into your lessons or practice sessions.
Once connected to your launch monitor, every shot automatically triggers a video recording. There’s no need to manually start or stop cameras, allowing you to stay focused on coaching or hitting shots instead of operating equipment.
The software supports up to four synchronized high-speed cameras, making it easy to review your swing from face-on, down-the-line, or multiple angles at the same time. Because the cameras use global shutter technology, even fast-moving clubheads remain sharp during playback, making it much easier to identify important swing positions.
After each shot, you can:
- Review swings in slow motion
- Compare two swings side by side
- Overlay swings to identify changes over time
- Use drawing tools to evaluate posture, swing plane, and body positions
Whether you’re making a technical swing change or simply tracking progress over several months, Swing Catalyst makes those improvements easy to visualize.
Add Another Layer of Feedback With the Balance Plate
Video shows you what your swing looks like.
The optional Swing Catalyst Balance Plate or the higher end Force/Motion Plates shows you what’s happening beneath your feet.
Using thousands of pressure sensors and on force plates, precise ground-reaction force measurement, the plate measures precisely how pressure and force moves throughout your swing and synchronizes that information with your video and launch monitor data.
This helps golfers and coaches better understand:
- Pressure movement between the lead and trail foot
- Stability throughout the swing
- Pressure timing during the downswing
- Ground force patterns that influence speed and consistency
Many swing faults become much easier to diagnose and explain when you can see both your movement and how you’re interacting with the ground. That clarity accelerates buy-in and speeds
up the rate of change.
Why Video and Data Work Better Together
Launch monitor data tells you what the golf ball did. Video shows what the body did. Pressure and force data explain how that movement was produced. Markerless Motion Capture adds precise joint and center-of-mass visualization.
Individually, each tool provides valuable information. Together, they tell the complete story.
For example, a player who struggles with inconsistent contact may discover through video that they’re losing posture during the downswing. At the same time, the Balance Plate may reveal that pressure is shifting too early or inefficiently, helping explain why impact quality or ball flight changes from swing to swing. Motion Capture can further highlight the joint sequence that is contributing to the loss of posture.
Instead of relying on feel alone, coaches and players can identify the true cause of the problem and make informed adjustments. Future swings can be compared against the baseline data so progress is visible, measurable, and motivating.
A Powerful Coaching Tool
Swing Catalyst isn’t just valuable for individual practice, it’s also one of the most effective teaching tools available for coaches who want to grow their impact and business.
Because every swing is automatically recorded and synchronized with launch monitor data, instructors can quickly review video, highlight key positions, and explain exactly what’s happening during the swing. The combination of clear visuals and objective numbers make complex concepts easier for players to grasp.
The software also allows coaches to compare swings over time, create lesson summaries, and share personalized feedback with students after each session, extending the value of every lesson and
keeping players engaged between visits.
When players can see the change, feel the difference and can measure the result, they buy in faster and improve more quickly. That is the definition of elite coaching communication.
Pairing Swing Catalyst With Foresight Sports
Foresight Sports launch monitors are trusted around the world for their industry-leading ball and club data.
Adding Swing Catalyst takes that experience a step further.
Every shot is automatically paired with synchronized video, while the optional Balance Plate, Force Plates, and Markerless Motion Capture adds another layer of insight into movement, pressure, and force production. Instead of simply knowing the outcome of each shot, you’ll understand what created it.
Whether you’re a competitive golfer looking for every advantage, a coach helping students improve faster, or a facility building a premium fitting or instruction experience, Swing Catalyst adds a powerful, benefit-driven dimension to every practice session.
