Let’s start with a scenario we see more often than we’d like.
Someone decides they want a golf simulator at home, in the basement, or in their garage. They do some research and order a launch monitor from one place, a projector from another, a screen from a third, and a PC that looked good on paper. Turf comes from yet another supplier. Then it all arrives in a pile of boxes, and the real question hits: now what?
Some questions might come up while you are setting everything up like “Is the projector the right throw distance for the room?” “Will the PC actually run the software smoothly?” “Is the ceiling high enough for a full swing?” or “Who’s going to calibrate all of this”, and most importantly “Who do I call when something isn’t quite right?”
Golf simulators aren’t complicated because any single piece is hard. They’re complicated because everything has to work together. That’s why we believe in one project, one partner, one complete solution.
Buying Parts vs. Buying a Solution
Buying components is like buying ingredients. Buying a Foresight Sports Canada turnkey solution is like sitting down to a finished meal that someone planned around your tastes.
With a pile of parts, you’re the project manager, the designer, the installer, and the troubleshooter. When something doesn’t work, every supplier points at someone else. The projector company says it’s the PC, the PC seller says it’s the software, and you’re left in the middle.
With one partner, that finger-pointing disappears. One team owns the outcome, and if something needs fixing, you know exactly who to call.
What a Complete Solution Actually Looks Like
Here’s the journey we walk with our customers, start to finish.
- Consultation. It starts with a conversation. How do you plan to use the space? Are you a serious player working on your game, a family that wants some fun on winter nights, or a business setting up a venue? Your goals and budget shape everything that follows.
- Site assessment. Before anything is ordered, we look at the space itself. Ceiling height, room width and depth, lighting, and power all matter. A room that looks perfect can hide some issues. Our team of experts can find these problems before they come up and plan around them so you can get your simulator installed smoothly.
- Design. With the goals and measurements in hand, we design the layout: where the hitting area goes, where the screen sits, how the projector is positioned, and how it all fits in your room. You see the plan before anything is installed. We also provide the option to get a 3D digital rendering to you of your custom build so you can see exactly what you are getting before it is installed.
- Launch monitor. This is the heart of the system. The launch monitor captures the data that makes a simulator worth having, so we help you choose the one that fits how you play and what you want to get out of it. Whether you are interested in the Foresight Falcon and its seamless indoor experience, or a QuadMAX and its seamless indoor/outdoor mobility, we will get you a tour level launch monitor fit for your game.
- Enclosure. The enclosure holds your screen, protects your space, and handles the impact of real golf shots. It needs to fit your room properly and be built to last, not just look good in a photo. We will design the frame to be custom fit to your specifications, and we can provide custom colouring with the acoustic wall panels and even include logos for commercial facilities.
- Projector. The best image in the world is useless if the projector doesn’t suit your room. Throw distance, brightness, and resolution all need to match your space and your screen, which is easy to get wrong when you’re guessing from a spec sheet. Our experts do the calculations for you, so you will get the best possible image without the headache of figuring it out for yourself.
- PC. Simulator software can be demanding, and a laggy or underpowered computer will spoil the experience fast. We make sure the PC is matched to the software and the display so everything runs smoothly, and is designed to last several years so you don’t have to worry about buying a new one with every update.
- Turf. Your hitting surface affects comfort, feel, and how the club interacts with the ground. The right turf makes a real difference to how your simulator plays and feels over time.
- Installation. This is where all those pieces become a working simulator. Our team handles the build, so you’re not spending a weekend with a ladder, a manual, and a growing sense of regret.
- Calibration. This step is easy to overlook and hard to overstate. A properly calibrated system means accurate data, a sharp image, and shots that show up on screen the way they should. It’s the difference between a simulator that looks good and one you can trust.
- Training. Once it’s built, we show you how to use it. From launching your software to understanding your data, you’ll know how to get the most from your system from day one.
- After-sales support. Our relationship doesn’t end when the installation does. If you have a question, need an update, or something isn’t working as expected, you have a partner who knows your setup and is ready to help.
Why It Matters
A simulator is an investment, and a good one should give you years of enjoyment and improvement. When every step is planned and handled by the same team, you get:
- Fewer surprises. Problems get caught in the planning stage, not after installation.
- Components that work together. Everything is chosen to fit your space and each other.
- Less stress. You don’t have to become an expert in projectors, PCs, and enclosures.
- A single point of contact. One team is accountable from the first conversation to long after launch.
- A better experience. The system is set up properly, so you can spend your time hitting balls instead of troubleshooting.
One Project. One Partner. One Complete Solution.
Anyone can sell you a launch monitor. What matters is having a partner who’s thought about your room, your goals, and your experience from start to finish, and who stands behind the whole thing once it’s up and running.
If you’re thinking about bringing golf indoors, whether at home or in a commercial space, we’d love to talk. Reach out to Foresight Sports Canada to start with a consultation, and let’s build something you’ll be excited to walk into.
